On September 21st, 2017, the European Cooperation Center of Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) held the opening ceremony of Czech Education Fair 2017.
On this ocasssion, the center had the honor to welcome Mr. Lukas Musil, Deputy Head of Mission, Embasssy of Czech Republic in Hanoi; Prof. Petr Saha, Rector of Tomas Bata University; Dr. Renata Tomasková, Vice Rector of University of Ostrava, leaders and representatives of Technical University of Ostrava, Masaryk University, University of Economics in Prague (Czech Republic), Technical University of Dresden (Germany); Dr. Tran Trong Dao, Vice President of TDTU, Dr. Phan Đạo, Director of European Cooperation Center, parents, guests and students interested in the event.
The fair took place during September 21-22, 2017. Representatives from Czech universities had the chance to meet and provide students with information about training programs, admisison requirements, scholarship opportunities and financial aid policy in Czech Republic. According to the organizers, programs taught in Czech language would be provided free of charge while the costs of English taught programs would range from 1.500EUR to 2.500EUR/schoolyear with different kinds of scholarship. The students were also glad to learn more about the required knowledge and skills to start working in a peaceful country with an advanced educational system like Czech Republic. Five out of six participant universities ranked in top 800 universities in the world. Especially, the event introduced Charles University which was founded in 1348 and considered to be one of the oldest university in Europe. On this ocassion, the universities also interviewed potential candidates for undergraduate and postgraduate scholarships.
